Schmid Motoren is a family business that was established in 1977 by Franz Schmid and his son Werner.
Franz Schmid started his career at the legendary Ferdinant Porsche GmbH where he worked at the engine development center. After 30 years of working for different firms, Franz decided to start his own workshop together with his son Werner.
Originally Schmid Motoren was specialized in Mercedes-Benz diesel engines. Later on we expanded to other brands and different engine types as well.
